Default Possible fuel problem, anyone with a outboard fuel can with carb fuel fitting for rent?

I'm trying to elimate possible problems here. I/O with a 5.7 holley four barrel. The motor kept falling off plane like it was out of gas I added5 gallons at the dock it still wouldn't start. Disasembled the carb cleaned and replaced parts with arebuild kit. Found the fuel gauge was indeed stuck and added another 25 gallons of fuel. Replaced deteriorated vacuum caps. Replaced the fuel water seperator twice. It did have what looked like rusty water in the bottom when I dumped it. Anyway I was wondering if anyone had a small outboard tank I could rent to check my fuel supply. Thanks in advance.

i have a diesel but i hadalmost same problem - engine rpm dropping. engine acts as if it is not getting any or is getting very little fuel. change all filters, all hoses & vent line - were ok (no vaccum lock) - but same problem. idid findtheproblem -check your tank suction tube - mine has a wire strainer on the end ofit - it was clog. Tried the portable fuel, adjusted float, replaced power valve, and checked fuel pressure. No changeI was getting 6 psi. I ordered a reman quadrajet and will go from there.
