Default maintenance for 200 hp mercury blackmax

Just a quick question for you guys.

I have a 200 hp mercury (blackmax) 1998 model. I was wondering if there is such a thing as a "service manual" for this motor that would give some general direction on general maintenance and other things (part numbers, ect).

More specificly, I need to learn how to change the water pump and do whatever else might be "simple enough" for someone like me with not very much experience. I know that they make them for cars, but unsure if so for boat motors.

Does anyone know where I might find one? Also, does anyone know what it might cost to have the water pump changed at a shop? It's working fine, but coming due for a change.

Thanks for any help you can give.

You can purchase a basic Seloc manual for your engine at west marine. Basic is the key word for this manual $35-$40. The best manual is from a mercury dealer that is for your model engine, very specific and complete about $80.00 .
