I am in search of a full sheet of Star Board for my Captain at the Fire Dept. He is looking for a full sheet of either 1/2" or 1/4" thick star board. (I believe that is the name for it, white cutting board type material)
Since ByField closed up, I am at a loss. If anyone knows where I can purchase a full sheet at a reasonable cost, please contact me. Thanks, |

I would ask, what is he going to do with it? Plastic is NOT cheap!
If he is planning on a project to screw it together, then those sizes do not work well. Creative Acrylics & Plastic www.creative-acrylics.com 1803 W Nine Mile Rd # B Pensacola, FL 32534 (850) 479-8889 |

Creative Acrylics is my recommendation too. They have the best prices in town and have taken care of me in the past. Tell them that you found out about them on PFF and they will take good care of you.

There are a couple of places in Mobile where you can get it. They both have the same prices. I gpt to Al-Fla Plastics company. They are off of I-65 in N. Mobile. They sell sheets of it or you can buy sections. It is a trip but this stuff is real expensive. I paid 190.00 for a 1/4'' sheet several years ago. It is a lot cheper than the Marine stores.

Tom-
Is your cheif planning on using it to outfit the trucks? If so, we have done the same with ours in Gulf Breeze! I'll talk to my chief to see where he has gotten ours from and also whatthickness it is! Let us know if you've found out the info you need! Mike |

if you don't exactly need starboard, you can get the synthetic planks from a lumber store up to 12" wide. good stuff...but they don't give it away.
