Had a suzuki F90 today that would run ok (not perfect) on top end, but would idle only until it ran the VST out of gas, pump the bulb & it would again run until the VST ran out of fuel. Replaced the mechanical pump & it ran perfect at idle & top end. I have seen these Suzuki pumps provide enough fuel at idle to keep the motor running, but idle quality is poor, especially when there is a anti-syphon valve. outbrdwrench.

Outboard Wrench,

The problem seems to be fixed. It was the craziest thing, we were going on an edge trip and pumped the primer ball, we noticed that there was fuel shooting out of the seperator. The leak was the stud that comes out of the bracket that the seperator screws onto. The stud was completely broke out of the seperator. We put a new bracket on and went fishing on the edge. After about 75 or 80 miles we came to realize that the motor never hesitated or starved for fuel, but instead, ran perfect. My thought is that if the problem was not fixed, surely after 35 or 40 miles in the heat of the day (4:00 in the evening) it would have starved for fuel.

PROBLEM FIXED.

Thanks to everyone for all your help,

Josh
