Default Fixing mariner 25h

I have a mariner 25 outboard and I had to get most of the wiring replaced due to a squirrel or mouse nibbling on it. These 2 wires are the only ones that did not get replaced Anyway, sometimes the boat will just turn over and over and over and not kick in and start , however if i mess with these two wires it will run beautifully, Question is, should i try to replace these wires? or should i replace that whole assembly???

I can see a yellow wire, but what color are the other wires that go to it. The reason for me asking is I can't tell if that is the fuel enrichment solenoid or a voltage regulator.
Does it have any mechanical linkage or hoses attached to it???
