Default Fiberglass, epoxy, rollers, etc...

So I'm planning on building a smaller boat and was wondering the best place to get the fiberglass tape and the epoxy and tools that I'll need.

Also what's the best size tape to use for a 10-15' boat. I guess there's 3-6" and I'm not sure which is best.

Thanks

fgci.com

Is this a stitch & glue boat? Biaxle is what you want for the seams. Not 6oz or 9oz tape.

Thanks XShark!

Yup, I'm planning on S/G construction. So I assume there's no good place local I could go to? I'd prefer not to order online being as it's my first time working with the stuff.

I couldn't find any biaxial cloth on the link you sent, but I did on boatbuildercentral.com. It was all 6" wide so I guess that won't be too wide. They had 6oz. and 12oz. weights at 35 and 55 dollars respectively for 50yds. Obviously I'd like to go with 6oz. but I don't want my boat falling apart either.

I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna glass the entire outside hull yet. I'm thinking that would create too much weight and would be overkill on a small boat. Right/Wrong?

Thanks again, I feel like I should pay you for your time.

This would be better discussed in person or on the phone. There is to much info to type.
