Default Do-it-yourself

here is a couple of sites I have found to help repair or even build a boat.

www.diy-boat.com and the other is http://www.svensons.com/boat/

I have been to both they offer a lot of information. As for the svenson site if you are planning to build a boat over the winter this one is for you.A lot of the plans are a one day or a weekend build.Something to think about for the children or thegran children. The svenson site is the man that put all those boat plans in the popular mechnincs and mechanis illustrated books in the 50,s and 60s.

The little blue and white one I had. With a 9 hp outboard you will keep up with a jet ski.:hotsun

Now if you are solitary fishing person and you like functionality this one is for you.Its nobigger than a normal sized sheet of plywood. With the modern building materials likehigh density foam and resin. you will have a boat that is extremely light and fast.

I know there has been a lot of visitors to this posting. But please tell me what you think about the information.Granted the plans are old but with modern building materials such as resin and high density foam. You can build a great boat for way less than buying a new one. Upon closer inspection of the boat plans you will recognize quite a few hulls designs as some of the new boats today.Like Cobia, boston whaler, dory, etc.

I am thinking of building one of the small boats and putting on a new trolling motor on it .It will be very quiet and stealthy for getting upon the big reds and trout.
