Default Adequate water pressure to the outboard?

Just installed a new jack plate and fixed my pressure gauge so what psi should be going to my outboard on full throttle? I don't really want to burn up my motor now. Thanks

your water pump is capable of more than 50 psi, if the pressure control valve is working properly, i like to see 15 to 25 at wot, and around 2.5 to 6 at idle..
