Your Favorite Mardi Gras Parade/Event?

We go to several different Mardi Gras Parades. Enjoy them alot. I have heard that there is a Royal Order of Misphits Parade in Josaphene that is Really Cool, but never been to that one. I also have been told there is a Royal Order of Mullet Parade in Pt. Clear that is Great. I have never been to the Pirates Flotilla Parade, but would like to someday.

What is your Favorite Mardi Gras Parade or Event?

Curtis, I lived in N.O. fer 5 years and Fat Tuesday was the day when morning to night was nothing but parades...There was 1 parade in particular that was 100+ floats, I mean real floats that were pulled by semi's...and that was my favorite parade...Have not been to mardi gras since I left N.O.:letsdrink:letsdrink:letsdrink

We rarely attend any of the parades in Pensacola, but never miss the one on Pensacola Beach. We usually back up at least three pick-up trucks to the street in front of the Islander or the Break on Wednesday. This assures us a good spot on Sunday.

was in the PLT flotilla yesterday, what a blast, the wind was blowing like there was No tomarrow! Still had a GREAT time. I have not (yet) gotten into the MG thing, however it's growing on me fast.....

bacchus and indimion in NOLA, without a doubt..... before katrina when we had 3 parades on fat tues in biloxi was insane, too. but now it's condensed down to one. the whole week is what its all about though. all the mardi gras balls, parades, sleep deprevation, caffiene, and beer.

I've been to the NOLA parades , P'Cola parades , and the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach parades but I still like Mobile the best !!! ... Joe Cain day is a lot of Fun , and Fat Tuesday there is Great !!! :letsparty ... it's SAFE there too , don't have to worry about waking up in a bathtub full of ice with one of your kidneys missing :doh ... Mobile is actually where Mardi Gras began as well so there is a rich tradition there :letsparty

My parents are in Le Krewe De Bienville in Mobile and LaFitte(sp?) here in Pensacola. My dad was the King of their krewe in Mobile 2 years ago and was the president last year so i spent alot of time over there. We have been bringing our RV over there for the past 8 years or so but didnt this year because they got CRAZY with the price. So i havent spent as much time this year doin the mardi gras thing as i have in years past. I will try my best to be over there this year for Joe Cain and Fat Tuesday...
