Get with Ken (deckhand) on here. He can help you out I believe. He helped me out on my septic inspection and pumpout situation when I sold my home. He also went out of his way and loaned me his personal trailer to help me move. All of this before he actually knew me personally. Great guy all around.

Not real familiar with FDOH regs but I believe they can be done by a professional geologist. I have done a couple here in Alabama. I'm licensed in Florida but would have to get up to speed on ya'lls requirements. Ya'll have a few more factors that have to be taken into consideration down there. If you can't find anybody locally let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Escambia County Dept. of Health 595-6700. Call before you go for a list of everything you need to bring. (Site Plan To Scale, Legal Description, Floor Plan Etc. Etc.) I think a new Site Evaluation (perk test) and Permit are around $450.00. If you aren't going to build right away just have them do the Site Evaluation, it's good for 6 months and before it expires get the permit, it's good for 18 months. If you don't complete construction prior to permit expiration you pay all over again. There are a couple ofprivate soil evaluators, but I would recommend Dept. of Health so there's no middle man and no finger pointing if a problem arise's. From application to permit should take about 1 week. When you get yourSite Evaluation resultsyou can get estimates. I prefer to meet onsite prior to start of construction to determine best placement of system and house elevations. Standard subsurface systems aren't a problem, but excavated and mounded systems may require a little thought to fit in without standing out like a sore thumb. You are welcome to call me anytime, we have done anything from fill & tractor work tocomplete subdivision development from raw land to ready to build. > Ken 554-6046
