I love South Florida and the Keys. If I have a secondary location it would be Belize.
Given the chance I go to the Keys, and Love it. Where is your favorite Vacation or GetaWay Place? |

My favorite hands down is the Smoky Mountains. Im 43 and have only missed about 5 of our annual trips since I was 6 (37 years). Other than one brother my other 6 siblings and each of their primary family will be there, usually about 35 people. We camp in Elkmont Campground, about 8 miles NW of Gatlinburg, TN. We stay a week, camp, hike, tube the Little River, bath in the creek, fish, drink, and play cards by the campfire. Each night one of my siblings cooks for the entire group, so you only have to cook dinner once. We leave for this years trip at 4am this coming Sunday morning. I cant wait, no humidity, early morning coffee next to the fire with the creek running 10 feet away, late nights sipping fine bourbon by the fire with the creek running 10 feet away, and sleeping in my Pop Up with the windows open listening to the creek, again only 10 feet away. INCREDIBLE

I'm sick of South Florida...add the fact (to others) that I lived there 28 years. Like the Smokey's but like the Colorado area better.

Townsend TN. its just on the outskirts of the smoky mountain national park. the slogan of the town is "the peaceful side of the smokies". it has the Little River runnin through it that has wonderful trout fishing. they stock the river every thursday. the shopping and sightseeing is great but i love cades cove!! its awesome!! there is no where else that i know of where you can walk through the woods and watch deer and bears in their natural habitat. they just wander around like youre not even there. very cool! in fact my girlfriend and i are goin back at the end of Aug. the bucks will still be in velvet and still in their bachelor groups so its easy to see monsters!! we are gonna stay in a little motel called the Bunkhouse Inn. it only has 6 rooms and each one has a theme. check it out. ive never seen a motel with this kind of personality. http://www.blountweb.com/bunkhouseinn/
