This may sound stupid, but I will never forget it as long as I live. I once coached a Church Softball Team, and we entered an industrial league tournament. We were a longshot to make it through the first round Friday. It was a double elimination tournament, and we lost our first game in the second round on Sat. Morning. We played the losers backet and played to the final, and the other team was unbeaten. We played them two games and won both.
I will never forget how it felt to overcome such practically impossible odds. It was a great moment in each of the teammembers lives. I have no doubt that each one of them remember it as well as I do. What is your Greatest Accomplishment? |

Long story made short...Talked a pilot and a passenger through an ILS instrument approach to a safe landing. He was so scared he couldn't fly the approach on his own (lost most of his nav instruments). For those that would understand the WX was M 200 1/8 mile at night. Without a doubt saving those two was my GREATEST. Minimums on ILS 327 &1/2.... VOR 600 & 1...Non RADAR facility.
By the way he attempted 5 approaches into both Memphis and Little Rock (both had better weather then we had and RADAR) , and when he was transfered to me he had 20 minutes of fuel on board. |

Marrying a wonderful woman, having three kids who have turned out great, and retiring from the rat race at 48.
