Good move Hydro Therapy.
And they shouldn't wait until AFTER some youngster gets splattered. To heck with their feelings and careers, and address it now. You won't be sorry.

1. What our hoa did was hire a off duty Sheriff and it seemed to stop most of the running stop signs. Ticket VERY expensive
2. Get video of the car and driver then go to the sheriffs office to make a call on the persons door. |

I had the same problem and have tried different tactics with different results.
I have flagged a couple of guys down and asked them politely to slow down. Most apologized and I never had a problem from them again. One youngpunk mistook my politeness for weakness and gave me asmart-assed remark with a smirk, after which I told him this was the one and only time I wouldbotherto ask him nicely. He slowed down as well. Followed another home andasked his father to talk to himabout slowing down in the neighborhood and he did. One Saturday, I grabbed my son and a football and told him to standnearthe sidewalk but not to chase any throws into the street, period. Whenever a car came flying by, I'd just overthrow him by 20' and drop one right in front of the car.Worked rather well with the older driver's who seemed to takethe hint when they had to literally slam on the brakes and stand the car on its nose to avoid the ball. The one car that I did accidentally hit stopped and asked "what the hell". I just grabbed the ball and said that if he had been goinganywhere nearthe speed limit the ball would have missed him by a couple of car lengths. FWIW, I do not remotely obey a single speed limit outside of residential areas unless conditions warrant otherwise, but no one should do more than 25-30 through anyneighborhood. I can't say I followed that rule before I wasin my early 20's though, as I can remember acouple ofconversations homeowners had with me in my younger days. |

FFG where in Santa Rosa do you live? You can call 983-1100 during business hours and ask to speak to a traffic officer. They have motorcyles and can hide out to take care of the problem. Keep this in mind, they won't give them a nice warning. They get paid to write tickets and as for hurting a career I have no clue about military life...Need anything give me a hollar brother!!! |

We live in Hidden Estates subdivision by the nursery. I guess that I pissed someone off, because this morning my mailbox was knocked off of the post and laying in my front yard...
Real mature, and I'm pretty sure a felony, but I digress. Anyways, I've got to go get ready to fly so I guess I'll deal with all of this later. Too bad these guys didn't have any real parents to teach them any sort of respect for anything. Cheers- |
