So sorry for your loss. I had to put mine down one year ago and I still think about him everyday! I know it is hard to think aboutbut getting another dog really does help I ended up getting a Chocolate Lab named Magnum and he has helped me through the pain so much. Will keep you in my prayers!

thank you all for your support. In times like this just a friendly "sorry for your loss" means alot to us. Just remember hug you puppy tonight cause they may not be there when you wake up.
We're not sure what happened to her and we never will. But things were going as usual for the day the wife brought both dogs in and gave them a bath, later that morning we were all outside just piddling in the yard, and the dogs started playing and fighting as usual, they got a little out of hand and my wife broke'm up she sent Zeuss (the male) inside and Athena looked at me and went and layed by the grill. After a few minutes i asked her what was wrong, and if she got her pride hurt, because mommy got mad at her playing to close to the babies. She didn't look at me and a simple pat on the head turned into 75pounds of dog over my shoulder barreling through the house. She just wasn't breathing heavy and i could barely get a pulse. We got about a mile from the house and i felt her go, it all happened so quick probably less that four minutes. I either believe that while they were playing maybe Zeuss caught her wrong and punctured her lung, or she just had a heart attack and died. She never made any noise or gave any indication she was in pain, she never bled it was just weird. She had all of her shots and was a very healthy dog in general. :reallycrying |
