Never gonna top the Blue Dot in this area. If the tour goes nationwide, you might be able to find a close second place.

OK first off, love this idea and website, however, there needs to be a special section. i.e. is there a hamburger stand that is only open certain hours. maybe a place that doesn't always serve burgers. There used to be a ton of catering trailers that were all over the place. I don't know if they are still around or not. (I no longer work outside) There is a place in Milton call "Sharon's Lunch Box" (i think) anyway they are only open for lunch. I haven't been there but, I am curious!

I for one like the idea of singing the National Anthem before filling your gut with a burger! Hold on, let me get the video camera...

I know it's kinda new and in Navarre , but if you are ever in the Navarre area at lunchtime and Go to Johnny Hustons you will not regret it, I have had most of the things on the menu and it's all good, but the burger, Holy crap, best I have ever had anywhere, and you can have it made anyway you want it, on almost any kind of bread.Damn good.

tuh tuh tuh ta ta TODAY, JUNIOR!!

Thanks Blue! I knew somebody would step up with some help there.

Twinkie: There is no price nor risk too high in our quest for the best burger. We have committed ourselves to this task, at the risk of peril and criticism. So, if these places are only open certain hours, WE'LL BE THERE! If there's great risk of the health department or tax man shutting these trailers down within the hour, WE'LL BE THERE. I'll remind you of our purpose: "The best burger" by TASTE, not price, not environment, not service, just TASTE. If you have the best burger, the rest just doesn't matter.

The Tour rolls.....

Deeplines (2/20/2009)The original poster posted back in SEPT.

Not ONE REPORT on a burger.

I have been looking for this outcome from the time they started the post. I wanted to hear from someone who actually ate the burger to see if it was any good to THIER taste buds.

I was told so much about Jerry's drive-in and the burger sucked in my opionion. I would have soon as to had a $6 burger from Hardees for $4. (Best burger from a franchise hands down in my opionion.)

Going to Flatline Burgers on Sunday so I will report on that spot. :letsdrink

Flat lines: Out of Business

Jerry's: SERIOUSLY What the ^&*( are people eating regularly if they think Jerry's has good burgers? It taste like preformed frozen patties from Sam's. Nothing special here, move along. I think it's the "lots of people say it's good so I must be wrong that I think it sucks" mentality.

Hardees: +1 on that. For a "drive through" ( why cant you drive through at Jerrys drive in? ) it is a damn good burger

Went to the blue dot the other day. Jesus now that is a burger. You know its good when:

a) You cant find it because it doesn't have a sign ANYWHERE

b) It doesn't need a sign because it has enough loyal customers that they don't need any more

c) It's been this way for 20+ years

d) You can't order it "your way", take it or leave it, we don't care.

e) No you can't see the menu. It's got only one item. Burgers. We don't make fries, chicken sandwiches, shakes, or anything else. We do burgers only. No freakin combo meals here folks. Burgers only. Got it?

f) Some days we have barbecue. Same rules apply as above. On those days we have two items on the menu. Burgers and barbecue.

g) We sell drinks out of a can. Sorry, no fountain drinks here.

If you have not had a blue dot burger, go. It is probably the closest thing you will get to burger heaven. Seriously I'd eat one of these if the cook had swine flu lol

Take cash. If I'm not mistaken they don't take credit cards or checks. This is low tech great food.

Hey, is Pirate's Cove too far? A boat ride and a cold one might put it in the top 10.

Johnny Hustons and Pirate's Cove..... added to the list.

I'm beginning to think like some of the posters here. This may be a search for #2. That Blue Dot has set the bar high. If a burger tops ole Blue, I'm thinking we may be eating it on the other side.....

Turtle, that's what a good burger will do for/to you. One bite, and the only possible response is "Holy crap". Those two simple words kind of say it all.
