Dang, first the Fish House and now Bonefish grill; ya'll are killin' me with these high dollar places!

With that score and review, I guess I'm gonna have to go try it out though since ya'll didn't let me down with the FH burger; sounds and looks good!

Rammer Jammer, thanks for the encouragment. With all the hoopla surrounding the Fish House burger, I'm glad is was worth all the fuss. BTW, here's to hoping yall show us what we should have done to the Rebels last year.... Roll Tide.

As you may have noticed, or not cared to notice, I haven't posted in the last couple of weeks. That's because I've been a little disappointed in the stops. Today was a little refreshing. Check out the site and see if you concur:

i agree with a statement made when yall went to georgios that went something along the lines as you shouldnt get a burger in a pizza joint. i will add the same to apply to a seafood place like the fish house. the wife and i went there last friday with the epxressed intent on trying the much acclaimed burger. as always, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere tops. but both the wife and i agreed the burger was less than great. we did ask for and received the 'tour burger'. it tasted ok. it just wasnt great. first of all the meat was more like meatloaf. it was so thick we both needed to slice it in half so we wouldnt choke on a bite. the bun was way to small for the burger. wife liked the bun, i didnt. ido like tomatoes, but i got the ends and very little at that. i wouldnt rave about the 'quality' ofthe produce. itsjust merely what i expected asking for a burger in a seafood rest. i know you try to rate the burger only, but i think yall missed the mark on this one and let other factors influence you. not to mention that the burger had to be 'especially made' for your tour. it wasnt even on the menu until then. i think the burger yall had and the one i had was not the same. yes it tasted ok, but in no way could it be mentioned in the same breath as a blue dot. period.

if i want seafood or sushi, the fish house is one of my choices. if i want a burger, it will never be. my .01 worth (.02 after taxes)

yall have a neat thing, keep it going. i enjoy reading the updates and reviews.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Freespool.

I was offered a free Fish House Burger delivered to my office. Well, I just did not feel right about that. So I did visit the Fish House and ordered the Burger off the menu. I was disappointed and I did not want to come on here and say so. After all, it is just an opinion of the Burger Tour panel, and I have a deep respect for the tour.

But I believe the statement that you guys got a "custom burger" that day was spot on. The burger you posted about is not what I had either.

The thing about a place like the fish house is they have so many things on their menu, how can they possibly be consistent?

Old blue however, is a burger joint, thats all they do, except on rib days. You always can rely on ole blue. It taste the same as the one I got my first time back in 1996.
