My brother replaced his tank with tankless (electric) Flipping loves it and his bill went down.

Used both gas and electric for 13 years while I lived in Germany, loved them and no problems.
Europe has used them for many decades. I find itfunny that U.S. is just discovering them. I guess its because utilities are so expensive over there and they have proved to be so ecconomical. Yes I took long showers. Good ones are super flash heaters and give you all the hot water you want. |

I have two in my house and love them! I have one on one side of the house and one on the other. I can have 3 showers going and one will keep up fine. Never run out of hot water and with 5 us in the house, the washing machine going almost every day and all of us liking to take long hot showers, the gas bill never goes over the min.
I would highly recommend them (gas ones)! |

P.S. Put a big UPS on them and you will have hot water when the power is out also! They need power to control the electronics in them plus, might as well protect them too
