I changed to a single provider two years ago for my internet connection, cable tv and telephone. I am in Panama City and went with Knology. Have been pretty satisfied with the service to date but my two year 'deal' had come to an end and I just got my latest bill from them today which had an increase of $39.49.
I would not mind staying with my current provider but would be happier if I didn't have to pay nearly $40 more per month.
I have heard of folks 'negotiating' a better rate in these cases...ie, saying you were changing to a competitor for a better deal (I have been saving a few offers I have been receiving in the mail from other providers, etc for similar services to use), etc.
Just wondering how others have approached their companies and what success you may have had in getting them to keep the same rates or reduce the charges.
Thanks for any and all suggestions and ideas anyone may be able to offer.
