I cannot believe that aa newspaperwould be this irresponsible. Regardless of your position on the current administration,there is no way it justifies putting the lives of the people executing the operations in jeporady. The last time I looked the Democrats controlled congress,so some Democrats must have thought this was a good idea. I don't get the people of NY City,as many times as they have been the target of terrorist ,their newspaper still seems to be the loudest critic of our efforts to stop the threat. I think stopping a regime that has openly stated they want to kill us all, should be more important than trying to get rid of our current leaders. Why they keep buying that rag is beyond my comperhension.

1. It's not a newspaper at all, it's a magazine. If you get your news from a magazine you have big problems.

2. New Yorkers, as a whole have no say in what is printed in it and it's not just a NY city Magazine, idiots all over the world buy that nonsense.

3. You're right, that reporter, should be shot along with anyone that gave him any information.

4. Somehow you read that and got mad at democrats, WOW....Yes, it's probably happening, yes, the democratic congress thought it was a good idea. And instead of coming on here with praises about how the democratic congress was doing something to fight the war on terror where it SHOULD have been fought, you are somehow angry at them for showing up in the article...where it clearly states they REFUSED TO COMMENT......How in the hell did you take that article and find fault with democrats I will never understand.

5. What's worse, that the NY'er printed it or that now Comcast andGod knows who else is REPRINTING it and forwarding it...INCLUDING YOU?!?!?!!?!?

Don't get your knickers in a twist. Often, much of this is released as part of a psyops plan. Yes, I agree the liberal media (and their liberal politicalallies) purposely publish articles to undermine American national will, but sometimes they are a tool of information ops.

I remember an offbeat article published in Jan 07 about the death of Bin Laden's brother in Madagascar (Jamal Khalifa) during a home robbery. Evidently, the "robbers" waited until his wife and kids left the house before breaking in and killing Jamal. The "robbers" stole his computer and some other items. It was an offbeat story - not really something you'd expect to read in international news. The general public probably read this as ironic justice - a terrorist killed by robbers.

When I read this, I saw SEAL team operation. How many robbers in the third world would actually wait until the wife and kids have left home? And these operations are always ongoing; you just gotta look for them when they make the news. The message was simple - you can't run or hide - made me real proud.

You make a good point but I wouldn't get too upset, especially when the media is used for the correct effect.

I wasn't pinging on the Democrats. I voted for Kerry in the last election. I just pointed out that Congress is controlled by Democrats and ,if despite their disagreements with Bush ,they thought the endeavor was worth funding then it probably had some merit. As to if it was a planned leak,I really can't say,but it is apalling that members of the press and people in thegovernment that have so little respect for the people that take incredible risks to keep us safe, by passing on and reporting secret information.
