Just curious if anyone has Rx sunglasses that they really like...other than Costas
Don't get me wrong, I would love to get a pair of Rx Costas, but they're just not in my budget... So I'm just seeing what current owners suggest as far as quality and preference... Also, where you got them at... Thanks guys. |

I tried the Costa's with the magnifier lenses last summer. I wore them with contacts when on the boat. They worked well for a while until my visiondeteriorated further. I ended up buying a cheap sunglass frame and going to Wal Mart to get my prescription put in the frame. Single vision with polarized lenses cost about 75.00.

yeah dr t is good, if you can get waited on. i am due for a new pair of rx sunglasses. will only be costas. if you cant afford them now, save up, you wont disappointed. i have had rx costas for about 10 years. nothing else comes close. and forget about all the whiners on here who talk about c/s issues and warranty blah blah. everything breaks.
there are lots of threads on rx sunglasses, do a search. |

I wore contacts until one put a heck of a hole in my eye.... so for the past year I've been wearing RX RayBan sunglasseswith polarized lens, grey- from Lenscrafters (lots of frames available, coupons, & sales). They were about $350, then $200 after the rebates. ((the lenses & add-ons were the $$$ part)) I like them & Lenscrafters has always been good.

As crazy as this may sound, I went to Walmart Vision center in Gulf Breeze, and am on my 4th set of Bolle' RX sunglasses, I lost the first 2 sets, (thank you insurance).
THey are Orange reflective lenses with anti glare coating, and are polarized, cost is $200, I wear them every single day, and when I am on my Motorcycle, they get around 18,000 miles a year on them, after about 14 months, I will be ready for another set, as the lenses get too scratched. That is more due to me than the glasses, however, I can just order the lenses for $120 and they refit them into my old frames. Skippy |
