Because it was edited. This makes it more readable for everyone when the pics are in a single column. Not everyone has a high res screen and sometimes folks have to scroll to see the pictures.

Note the edit message at the bottom of your post:

if you prefer running firefox/safiri browsers consider opening a photobucket account...its free and easy to use. upload your pics to that site then under the pic will be 4 different lines of code...copy the 4th (bottom) line and post it in your thread and thats it.

Great advice, this is how I post pics using FireFox. I like it much better than IE.
