Wow! What a transition. I looked at a house for sale about 2 years ago on Ten Mile and it had a pool that needed some work which made me think twice as to buying it. You have done an amazing job. Now I kind of want one.

I don't know if you'll like the saltwater setup...I've had mine a year and have had to add TWO BAGS of salt ($16 total). Think that is too much money to spend each year on pool chemicals?

Yeah - right. I had the saltwater chlorination system for 4 years - absolutely hated it. Yes it's cheap - bag of salt 7 bucks or so - but the headaches and dangers I encountered made me switch to a tablet chlorine system.
It costs me about $120 a year for 3" tabs but I never have to screw with ghastly fumes, muriatic acid for de-calcifying, unreliable specific-grav chlorine metering system, and hauling around 40lb bags. Since I went tabs, I've spent less on other chem adds, and have not had an algae outbreak. The salt system works ok first few years - then the headaches start.

BTW: great job on the restoration. After seeing all that, I would think the fence would be easy work.

Anyone want to buy a used saltwater system?

So far the salt system has been awesome. I guess time will tell. The only thing i have added in 4 months is 2 bags of salt. I don't even own any chlorine.

Scott,
Be sure to come see me for your fence materials.
I have #1 boards about .20 cents cheaper than the big box stores. My 4x4x8 are $1.00 less. all are excellent materials. I'll even loan you a trailer to get your lumber home N/C. Please keep us little local guys in mind when you make your purchases.

Thanks!!!
