I haven't had a flu shot in a few years but I reckon the older I get, I may just have to do it!!!

Jason, if your co-pay changed, I believe the insurance company is supposed to send you a notice. By the way, was the ER North Okaloosa?

When I went to the er last Friday night they asked if I had gotten the flu shot. I said no cause when I did get it, I usually got sick afterwards. The nurse said the flu shot does not prevent the flu, it just makes the symptoms less severe. So I said if it doesn't prevent the flu, why even worry bout getting the shot? She shrugged her shoulders and said "Exactly". I haven't had a flu shot in 5 years or so. And after that conversation I won't be getting it anytime soon.

Yep, I've used the ProCare in Milton twice for minor things. I was seen by a nurse practitioner. She correctly diagnosed the problem sent the scrip for antibiotics over to Publix (which were free) and I was outta there.

Total time in and out, maybe 45 minutes, of course they take only cash so I did not even bother showing my insurance cared (6k deductible anyway). All they asked were the drugs I was currently taking, address, etc.. It is the way to go for minor stuff.

I broke my metatarsal in June and went to Sacred Heart ER. I got zinged pretty good price wise but they could have doubled it and I would have paid, I thought I was gonna pass out due to the pain.

I've had to take my father to the ER twice this year. The abuse is absolutely appalling.

That reminds me of the intern working ER that noticed the chick that didn't have insurace had, $200.00 shoes, an Iphone, designer jeans, tattoos, gold jewelry and teeth. The fact of the matter is that b/c there's
no tangible benefit to having insurance, and... the ER is "free", there will be abuse till that changes. One aspect of Obamacare that pisses me to the gills is that I'll now have to pay a fine for not buying something I can't afford. I can't wait till November.
