I try not to get into political "discussions" but that made me chuckle. CL, sorry for your hassle. BUT, that kind of crap has been going on for a long time. More prevalent now???? It seems like it, but hard to say for sure. I hope it works out for you!

Which is to say, he no longer has to spend his time thinking up the next promise to the American public that he never intended to keep.

Forgive me if I feel like the government should stay out of stuff that should be handled at home by responsible, hard working, humble parents.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinions but I find it hard to believe that anyone would disagree that family values, and morals in general are not worse now than just 50 years ago. Crime is up, the severity of crimes is worse, jails are overpacked, the family unit is less cohesive than it used to be, people have less manners and care less about others. In general. Few things are absolute other than death and taxes
