So most of us that live around here have been to New Orleans a time or two, I myself have been numerous times, but each time I try to find and do things I haven't before.
So besides the popular tourist places that everyone knows about, What are some secret or hideaway spots that you have found? Things around Downtown...

I have been there at least 10 different trips and always have an excellent time. So much to see and do. Just looking to do something other than walk on Bourbon or go to Cafe Du monde

Pick some places to eat out of the french quarter and ride the trolley. Some nice places way down the Magazine area.

There's a good new ww11 museum that is pretty cool. It had a 4 D show. It's west of downtown. We walked there from the Hilton on the waterfront.

All around the City Park area and there are interesting little eating places in the surrounding neighborhoods.

I lived there for 21 years, and go back about twice a month religiously. What kind of places are you looking for - food, entertainment, ??

If you like great local music Frenchman St is great. Just around the corner from Bourbon and some great venues where most locals only go. I visit it every time I go down there.

Magazine St. is really cool. Lots of locals and close to the Garden District which has some really nice homes.
