Default Missing any rods and reels?

I sometimes drop in the Pawn shops to see what they have….. While in one yesterday, here comes a few “non-fishing” types (and I mean NON-FISHING types) with it looked to be like 5-4 real nice rods and spinning reel combos. It was obvious they were hot, I am surprised these kids weren’t burning their hands, they looked so hot….. a couple of the reels were the Cobia Penn spinning reel types, one was a larger Shimano spinning reel ….. I assume the stuff could have belonged to them (The kids), but if you had any ripped off, this would be highly suspect…..

Remember the song when we were kids “which one is not like the other” came to mind……

Anyway, in 30 days or so, drop over to the Pawn shops on Fairfield (the one close to Texar, cash America I think) and see if you can get your stuff back cheap if you know what I mean….

Please don’t jump my crap about not knowing all the facts, just if you had something stolen recently, it may be in your best interest to drop in and see if they are on the floor in the for sale section……

Your right, I am such a f*&kup, what was I thinking? An attempt to help someone that may have gotten their stuff stolen.

I should have "taken the law into my own hands" and went to the truck for the fish bat, went back in and beat them down to a bloody pulp. Then and only then, asked them if they had PROOF these items were theirs. That is if they were even able to answer by this point.

wow, what was I thinking? Thanks for getting me back on the right path for I have strayed.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If more folks would report such things as this that seem out of place a lot of people could get their stuff back. I sure hope the owner hears about this if they were actually stolen. Trouble is sometimes these thieves steal in one city and pawn/sell in another.

If I had been broken into and some gear stolen, I would be glad to get this information. Thanks for posting whether criminal act or not.

Am I missing the point that this is a joke? If not you why are you yelling and calling someone out for trying to possibly help someone out. If they were your stolen rods wouldn't you appreciate at least a little lead into where they might be?

There's a point here. Look how many posts we have read where someone is asking members of the forum to be on the look out for their fishing gear that was stolen from their boat, garage or home. I take it just as a friendly heads up. I stop at local pawn shops every now and then looking for some of my gear that had gone missing with outside assistance. I have the serial numbers and may get lucky some day who knows.
