Military PCS to Hawaii

Looks like I will most likely be going to MCB K'bay, Hawaii, was wondering if any Military folks on the forum have ever been stationed in Hawaii know if PCS'ing a boat out there is possible. I plan on contacting the TMO office here on Eglin to get some info, but was just wondering about any first hand experience.

Hate to hear you're leaving but Hawaii would make it pretty exciting about going.

Spoke too soon, that billet is just for a female, the new female in combat trial, WOW, i thought i was going back to a Grunt Battalion, in beautiful HAWAII.

You seem to be trying to get orders to leave, if you do leave are you going to have some fishing stuff you want to sell? Obviously not if you are going where you can use it, but fair question.

I lived in Kaneohoe for about 13 years. I used to go "Ulua" (giant trevally) fishing off the cliffs behind the VIP Cabin on Kaneohe Bay MCAS, and caught somre real nice fish there at night - up to 73 pounds. The place was supposed to be off limits, so when they were patrolling the runways on Base, you couldn't use your headlights. Made for some interesting times. Also, the octopus diving off that area was some of the best on the island.

Too bad you're not going. It's an awesome place.

Now that your not going I can keep it short. It's the prettiest place I have ever been to. If you like asian food or girls it rocks. I lived there for 4 years as a child. The one negitive thing about HI is they don't like us that much.

I'm bout w/ ya.....I was a year old when I lived there and moved when I was 6 to New Orleans (ole man is a Marine)!!!! Talking about a culture shock, not to mention my folks said my teachers went crazy cause all the pigeon english I spoke!!! I talk to a good friend of the family from time to time over there and can't hardly understand a word!!!
