Claypool is frikken AWESOME on bass. Aside from the raw talent he's also a writer as well but he flat out zings the strings on that bass!!

No problem man, I'm glad you'r enjoying his music. There is a ton of it, spans just about every genre you can think of, and some that can't really be called anything, lol. He's a really nice guy, like a big kid, I met him after a show back in 2006, he's eccentric, but most musicians are, myself included. Check out the "backstory" behind his character, it's slasher flick stuff, but it sets up a lot of his "horror metal" music, I think it's a great muse and allows him to be inspired by stuff most people would never use when writing music. If you get a chance to see him live, it's awesome, although his shows haven't been as good lately. If you can see him with the band (drummer and bass player) it is much better than just him and an iPod.

And I think if everyone could put aside politics and religion and just play music and fish, the world would be a better place.
