So my water heater sprung a leak out the side of the tank last night.
If anyone knows where I can get a better deal than the $319 Lowes water heater, please let me know! I would be interested in a USED gas water heater if someone knows of one..... Unfortunately, I can't use an electric hot water heater (I found a couple of those used...) Thanks For any help in advance!! -Ken |

Call the gas company and tell them your problem and that you are thinking of switching to electric and I bet you will be surprised how cheap they will sell you one for.

Something else you might want to consider is the tankless hot water heater. I know they are a little more but, there are so many advantages. You won't have to pay for water to be heated that is not being used. You will always have hot water even after the wife and kids spend 2 hours in the shower. And they take up less room as well!

So how much does a tankless heater (electric or gas) cost?

Here is one for around $1,000.00 that will handle a 3 bathroom home.

Thanks for all the help, what a great forum we do have here!
I called about the used water heaters and wasn't fast enough to catch one of them but, I did find a scratch n dent markdown water heater at Lowes for $175 with a 6yr warranty! Yea, good enough for me, it's not my house and I won't be there for more than a year or so probably.... HOT WATER IS BACK ON AND IT'S NICE... |
