That comic book store at Mobile Hwy. and Bellview Ave. always seems to have it advertised on a billboard out front. I saw on the news a couple of weeks back that the owner of that place got busted but the sign was back up almost immediately.

Not sure that is true. I read something that American law is sufficiently broad that they can ban a certain set of chemicals, and no matter how you change it, or add stuff to it, it's still a banned substance.

The definition of the drug in other countries allows for simple chemical changes to make it legal again (eg the UK), but American legislators allowed for this years ago.

If I remember right a member on here had a son almost die on the stuff last year. I don't understand drugs. I'm 22 and I've never done any kind of drug and would never want to.

FYI. If you want to take a stand against something, educate yourself first. A lot of misleading info out there, both good and bad if you want to protect your loved ones. This seems to be the future of getting that next/new high and should be paid attention to whether you want to or not. Spice is a generic term. There are hundreds of brands out there. The chemicals they use resemble THC but are usually more potent and unregulated. Kind of like moonshine. One bag can be one potency and the next bag behind it on the shelf could be 3 times stronger. The chemical is sprayed willy nilly on to some sort of smokeable flower or leaf. The government cannot keep up and outlaw it because the strains can be tweaked slightly to create a completely different compound. The DEA did recently make the illegal compounds a schedule 1 drug. Im sure they will do the same for other strains as they are discovered. Its popular because its somewhat easy to obtain and doesn't show up on drug tests because of its evolving makeup. Its actually more expensive than then the brick weed you get from Jose down the street. No studies have been performed but its not looking good so far with the number of hospital visits and accidents associated with it. Long term effects Im sure are far worse.

Bath salts are another creation to mimic cocaine/pcp/meth and have even less research behind them. If someone you know mentions them, I would step in immediately.

Disclosure: I am by no means a doctor or pharmaceutical expert.

They can test for the 5 or 6 compounds that are most common. Although, most do not test for it unless requested or some cause for suspicion since it is much more expensive due to how new it is.

Good info! You would think they could cast a wider net onto the industry!!! How many types of cannabis are there and they are all illegal. See what I mean?
