I met 5 of Mine. 3 on my Fathers side and 2 on my Mothers side. I was old enough to remember them, but I was a young child.
Has anyone ever met all 8 of their Great GrandParents? How many have you met? |

I have onlyknown 1 great grandmother from each side. My great-grandmother, Mary, died last spring after 94 years. She was up there but still quite the character.

Three, my great grandpa Young didn't speak much to any one, just sat in his chair and looked out the window. The only time he really tried to speak was to me. He couldn't talk much due to a stroke butI knew what he was saying. The last time I saw him before he past he gave me a Marlin 30-30.

Only one. My great grandmother who is still alive. We were lucky enough this Christmas to take a photo with five generations of women.

1 she scared the hell out of me as a kid. She would make me eat all my plamento cheese sandwich as she watched while eating her raw hamburger meat.I can still taste that nasty lunch to this day.As I got older and realized she was not really going to spank me in the morning just b/c she knew I would do something wrong later in the day we became close. The funny thing is almost everyone knew her on the St. Johns river and everyone has the same experiances.

Never knew any of my greats, and only one of my grands. I however, am having the pleasure of watching a great grandchild evolve and mature.
