Default great news, the house almost burnt down!!!!1

wife called, obviously distressed, and said the kids came in and told her the TV turned off. So she goes in the living room and smells a burning odor. Quickly unpluggs everything. TV burnt up.

this is great, its a 10 year old piece of crap we bought when we first got married (still in college). Fixn' to order me a flat screen:

My Dad has been doing research on those. Seems like they are the BEST on the market. You have reason to buy, his old still works fine, so why buy...but thats is me.

Sorry about the old tv, BUT, when do you want all of us over to watch the upcoming football season in HD! My friend has a rule. It is really simple. Your TV must be at least as tall as your wife. I screwed up BIG TIME!!!! My wife is only 4'10"!!!:banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead:bangh ead:banghead:banghead:banghead

yea, I've been wanting it for some time, but couldn't justify the cost. We really don't watch a lot of movies, have no HD DVD player, and don't have digital cable. So I really couldn't justify it. But we are going to slowly ramp up to all that.

My father in law has one. Unfreaking real!!! Go ahead and get a blue ray player while your at it to get the most out of it when watching movies. The Pixar movies are the most amazing. Only real negative to this tv is that all the women you think are hot, you will be able to see that they too have imperfections, but I'd be willing to trade that to watch UGA run the table this year on that screen!!!!

Before you buy online... Please go to Sam's the prices on them are very reasonable. They do sell Vizio which is an excellent quality manufacturer.

from what the guys have been telling me the best/cheapest blue ray player right now is the play station 3.

I have almost the exact same tv. Mine is the 650a. About the only difference is the 650a has120hz refresh and the sightly different frame border. You will be AMAZED with the picture. I agree about getting the blue-ray player. It does wonders for regular dvds (upscales them to 1080p).
