I have some friends that will be at the BOQ mainside later this month and would like to meet them for dinner. His spouse has some health issues so don't want them to drive too far and I don't know much at all about that area as far as restaurants go. Main purpose is to meet and greet, not to eat, but would like the food to be decent. They are "Yankees", not sure if into sea food but one of those options would be nice to have available. Thanks.

Sonnys real pit BBQ just up the street from main side and Ruby Tuesdays across the street in front of walmart.
Melting Pot is good but more an intimate place and dark, farther than youd like to drive if staying close to base. If you go straight up New warrington out of main side there are lots of resturants fast food and nice dinning. yamatos will be at the farthest end of new warrington. there is a few pizza places and a few mexican places just on navy bulvd. seafood close to the base Id say Chets is the best, on navy blvd

For Seafood Sam's on Main St and the Oar House at end of Pace Blvd.. But, for good inexpensive food and close to NAS I agree with Sonny's. Or, they could treat you to the Officers Club on base.

The Shrimp Basket. North Navy Boulevard. On the west side is good should seafood be desired. Watch for 2 for one coupons.

Appreciate all the suggestions. I'll have to find all of the them and may even try a few out. I'm sure my wife would be happy to sacrifice her time to assist me. Thanks again.
