There's alot of outdated stratagieshere. I own a company, thathas admittedly, chased fire ants around with little success......for 33 years. For the last two years there's a product that works so well, that we guarantee it for an entire year. We have serviced many institutional playgrounds and such with great success. For you guys, the active is fipronil, it comes in a granular form and is available at Home Depot and Lowes. I just dont know the brand name of the productfor saleto the public.

The fipronil is in "Over N Out". It is a granular product at Lowes, Home Depot.

Same active ingredient as in Frontline, the flea drops for dogs/cats.

Thanks! I've been looking for something that actually works for the whole yard. Seems the other products kill them sometimes but more often than not a new mound will pop up somewhere else in the yard. I'll defintely give this a try, the reviews online were excellent for this product!

Hand held propane plumbers torch,, inexpensive and works well,,, stir the nest up and flame on..
