man, I'm going to get beat up for this.

As much as I'm an English only guy, I would actually give this some consideration, at least listen to the other side. Especially since it is given in 14 languages, its not a pandering to illegals.

I like hte quote about about road signs being in english. Actually, they went through great pains to make road signs symbols that internationals could understand. We have foreigners (tourists)driving on our roads all the time and they understand what the signs mean.

I suspect it won't pass. It would require a politician to have some balls and do the right thing for our country's sake. That will never happen. The only thing they care about is votes.

I live in Montgomery and plan on finding out which way my rep is leaning on this! I support the english only. We are probably the only country in the world where this is even an issue. Except where a native people were displaced such as Australia, or oh yeah, Amereica. Maybe the test should be given in English and Muskogean Indian. I bet that's not one of the 14...
