Let me qualify my stance...I think we need more oil supply and drilling. With that said the ibd is full of very miss leading statements. If they could provided a reputable reference of were they get the hugh numbers, then they know more than most trained geologist that I have read. I think stories like ibd lead normal folks, the government and companies down the wrong path of thinking and making future plans based on the promise "about four times the total reserves of Saudi Arabia" as they setbudget goals and energy policy. Reserves in the ground most of the time does not equate to PRODUCTION and FLOWrate. If the reporters who write these stories would speak in the real production and return on energy invested versus energy returned and flow rates, then I think more people will see why we are setting at $145/barrel oil.

Nope the real problem I have is people see these stores and think we have a bazzillion barrels of oil in the ground and wonder WTF, why cant I afford gas for my SUV and the local governments plan more projects and zone planning based on $1.50/gallon and companies make biz models based on a $50/barrel energy assumption. The run up in oil has been happening for the last 5 or 6 years with many 'experts' predicting a fall in oil prices and the folks planning around cheap energy from that bad advice.

World wide oil production as been flat since therun up in prices despite all the incentive to increase production, back up and ask why is it with all this oil in the ground andthe butt loadmonetary incentive toPRODUCE more to make more money, why hasn't world oil production increased? Depletion rates versus new productions rates= net world production rate of...flat production. More demand with flat productionleads to higher pump prices.

I say drill- we need the oil and the awesome fishing reefs the platforms are. Expect plenty of snapper, AJ's, kings, even mahi mahi and billfish or tuna in the deeper water. My only tarpon was caught near a Louisiana rig as well. Drill away boys. Keep it safe, don't pollute, and thanks for the high paying jobs the drilling will create too!

Let me start by saying that I hated my voting ballot in the primary.

It didn't have a box that said "None of the Above."

Newt would make a Good candidate.

Add this to it and it gets even better to Drill Here-- Drill Now.
