If you are looking to save some money, I reccomend something along the lines of the carnival ships, I went with my girlfriend back in october on a five night cruise to mexico, we had a blast and spent just under 1,000 , thats including everything the entire trip, however thats mainly without alcohol... But they do let you take a couple unopened bottles on the ship.

If you have them, bring walkie talkies. Then you can go different directions, and then find each other. My wife and I were separated for 5 hours the first morning. Long story, but with these two way radios, the long story would be short.
Plan on 6 meals a day. M-good. Take alcohol, in plastic, within your suit case. Cuts down on on board expenses. Buy alcohol bottles on board for cheap, to take home. I bought 4 bottles, wish I would have bought 10. Other items for sale on the ship are cheap, so do look. I did not notice until the last day. I said, I am not going into that tourist trap store - wrong. |

Buy the soda cards. We snuck in liquor in apple juice bottles. Plan any thing you are gonna do once your their early. Mexico doesnt get going to after 1030am or 11 nothing to do till then. Plan anything ealier in the day when the shops arent open. The stuff for sale on board gets cheaper closer to your exit port. Eat all you can
