I think that was a run on sentence. First post mentioned both Obama and Chevy as separate issues and he seemed to be just commenting on both, not blaming Obama for the GM bail out.

Of course an Obama supporter would figure out a way to spin that.

Coming from the female opinion, I am going to discuss handbags in the same context you are discussing your brands, Take the Coach handbag for example. All the women are carrying one, yet they are ugly with the repeated "C"'s pattern...and they cost hundreds of dollars. The value isn't there. Only the name and status. Some products are worth what you pay for and some products are not. We shop for what we like yet we buy what others like.

Tina, I get the same impression with wine brands. I hate wine, but my wife loves it. I've bought here cheap bottles, mid-range and a couple of higher dollar ones and she likes the cheap wine the best! So.........what makes an expensive bottle of wine expensive?

to the naked eye, but people that pay for higher end bags (or shoes,clothes, suiting, etc for that matter) know the differences, which are sometimes subtle-sometimes not. the repeated C's you speak for example on coach purses- those are only on the "fabric" coach purses. which in essence are the cheapos, knock offs, and outlet store coach purposes. there are differences in the higher end, leather Coach purses ($500+). they do not have C's all over them, in fact they are very nicely made and designed premium leather bags. I am man, how do i know this? because i have purchased many bags before!

so its just the opposite i guess... the people that spent the bigger money on a high end Coach bag, which doesn't have c's all over it, and isn't always a distinguishable as Coach.. however the cheaper, outlet store type bags that are discontinue and or cheaply made that are only a 100-250$ with c's all over them so everyone can distinguish. it is about perceptions, but people don't always buy expensive, name brandish stuff just to be seen or trendy. they sometimes buy it because, well, its nice. its the people that immolate those people that cause the illusion!!

I'll chime in on the football. What gets me is all the people that get unbelievably emotional and loud and say "we" did this and "we" got so and so like they were personally involved with anything xyz team did. I laugh my ass off watching the guys at work get so riled up they have to separate because of something "they" did.
