I haven't read the literature on the silvers but almost every lab mix I've been around, (if that's what they are)wasn't the brightest candle in the box. I've seen a few exceptions but not very many. Maybe I just expected too much. JMO

Labs on the other hand are unbelievably smart. I'm kinda partial to yellows.

The reason why folks like poodles are a couple......They don't shed, and they are considered a hypo-allergetic dog. Poodles don't produce the dander that other dogs do. That's why they like to mix them up w/ other dogs....

Yeah. But I am telling you, if you want a dog with personality, get a labradoodle. Mine is just oozing with personality. He has way more than any other of the lab's I have had. Great house and family dog. JMO
