attempted break in east pcola heights

well of all things me and the wife just watched a movie we rented- Columbiania... good movie by the way.. and as we are about to get up of the couch, we hear the screen door outside the sliding glass door open. we always keep it closed and we heard the rollers on the track open up pretty quick.....
well 10 seconds later the mossburg 835 was the first thing I was able to hop to, chambered one, grabbed my glock, hobbled to the back door and sure enough the screen door was slid open. I heard a car on the back street start up and take off.
Well, just thought I would give everyone a reminder its not going to get any better in this world.

Glad you interupted some P.O.S.'s evening! And thanks for the heads up on whats happening in our area. We are near Moreno and Knowles, and by the way boogeyman, we don't fire no stinkin warning shots!

So far (so far) incidents like that are extremely rare out here in Beulah but I suspect it 's not going to stay that way. I've been hardening our house as time and money permits.

DAMN Box!!! I guess with your previous string of events this falls right in line. They say the good lord will not give you anymore then you can handle but dang. Man that sucks! I'm glad it didn't go any further then it did. How is the pain and rehab going? Good luck let me know if I can help.

Has anyone on here shot someone for breaking in yet? I dont think it will be long, there is alot of trash that came from N.O.

I'm going to do my best not to. If it's just some idiot trying to get my TV I'll hopefully either run him off or hold him for the LEOs. If he comes in with a weapon or comes towards me or my family all bests are off.

Dang bro there inlies the problem. That area was a problem when I was a teenager 30yrs ago. What could of happened to your lady if you weren't there. If you can, get her and yourself out of there asap. It was a great area many years ago when my parents and I with my 2 older sisters went to East Pensacola Baptist church there. It at that time (early '70's) was a safe and affluent place to live. Late 70's that area went bad and it migrated west from that point. Now for the most part Pensacola is a dump! My sisters still live there and only need to give me a call and I'll be there to check into things. I only wish they would have moved from that dump years ago like I did. I didn't realize what a crappy place it was until I moved away. Now if I go to visit my old neighborhood I'm certainly packing. If you can, get out now.
