I survived ! He removed 2 polyps , but couldn't find the source of my pain and bleeding last week. He told me what he thought it was and that they can heal quickly and they really don't know what causes them . I was still farting and groggy in the recovery room when he was telling me all this and I can't remember half the stuff he said. I'm home now and still farting up a storm. They blow air up your tail hole to expand your guts ,so they can see everything. My wife was so embarrassed in the recovery area, because I was letting them rip ! It sounded like two big grizzly bears in a death match.

Just curious, has anyone who's had a colonoscopy not had any polyps found? I'm wondering if this is a way to milk a little more insurance money.

My dad had one a few years back. He told me the doc told him his looked as smooth and shiny as the barrel of a gun. My dad asked what kind and he said musta been a shotgun cause he didn't see no rifling!
Glad you lived group!

Did they take pictures of the polyps? We could have a forum coloring contest.

Yeah don't hold in the farts, if you do it gives you really bad breath. Glad you are okay, at least now you have a good baseline for future exams.

When I first read your post I thought that you caught a bug. There are pathogens out there that can cause similar symptoms. I'm sure that you don't go out in the yard and drink out of puddles and chew sticks but I have a dog that does and she exhibits similar symptoms. I haven't seen her pass out yet. Glad that you got a clean bill of health. I don't find colonoscopies fun either.

In all seriousness guys it is painless. The worse part was the prep and it wasn't that bad. Two 10 oz bottles of some kind of lemon magnesium and a lot of toilet paper and wet wipes. It is not that bad and well worth the inconvenience to make sure you don't die of a preventable disease/cancer.

When I woke up nobody made me fart before I could leave so don't let that stop you. It may have been that I farted before I woke up and they counted it but I didn't really care.

Get it done!
