You're all in trouble now!!!!!!

Yessir!!!!! I'm going in tomorrow to have my right knee replaced. Yesterday, I bought a laptop, new modem, and a wireless router. It is all set up and running. That means I'll have at least 4 weeks, 24-7, to gripe, complain, make bad jokes, irritate, ask stupid questions, give wise a$$ answers, smart off, and ocassionally, make worth while contributions and help you guys out solving all the mysteries of today's society!!

By the way....................I am not responsible for any of my actions while under the influence of, what I hope are, the best pain meds available!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget the 3 X a week Physical therapy you will be doing also..

What he said..if you do not bend your knee as much as they want you to, they will bend it for you.

hahaha... seriously though - all the best on a quick recovery man. one of those situations where you get what you give. the harder you work on your recovery the better and quicker it will be. i've known several who had knee replacements, been through an ACL reconstruction myself and docs have already told me i've got at least one replacement if not both in my future. this is a good place to pass some time though!

I had both ACL's and one MCL repaired/replaced. When your laying around hold your leg straight up and let gravity bend and stretch it. Helps alot to get your range of motion back.

Had my right knee replaced three months ago this Thursday. The first couple of weeks are borderline unbearable but after that you'll be glad you had it done. Don't do like I did and start cutting out the pain meds too quickly during the first week or so.

I had the ACL replacement and medial miniscus trimmed. Recovery was not pleasant as already echoed. Hope you have a circulating wrap that goes to an ice cooler apparatus(can't remember what it is called). That thing quickly became my best friend. Oh, this may sound gross, but if you are on narcotics for pain (and you will), take a laxative. After three days, I hadn't gone and I almost ended up in the hospital again. The narc's dry up your system and it gets ugly.

+1 on staying ahead of the pain & the laxative & let your body be your guide on the recovery side.

Dont try and rush the recovery either.you could end up screwin your knee up if you do something stupid early in your recovery.
