Yamaha 250 hp Carbed fuel burn numbers??????
I have a question for the Yamaha outboard guys with flow meters.....I have a 250hp Yamaha V-X 76 Carburated outboard on a 24' Intrepid I run the engine @ 4000 rpm running 27 knots burning 10-12 gallons an hour pending on load and roughness.
I'm thinking about cruising the boat @ 3700 Rpm to get better fuel economy......The guys with Flow Meters is the fuel burn going to go down noticeably over 300 Rpm or is not even worth backing off the throttle for? Thanks For Your Help Mark |
