Fish on!

My question is I have regular silver wire ones, the smaller wires twisted together, black ones, heck, just about any kind possable. I was just wondering if any seem to work any better than others (fish not seeing etc,)? I was thinking maybe the black wouldnt glint in the water, however it is black therefore it might show up better? i have no idea...

A lot depends on what you are fishing for. Trolling for Kings most people use a single strand leader. If you are live baiting for anything toothy use the stranded leader. I can't say about the color, I don't think it matters much in most cases. We've had Cobia, Kings, even redfish eat a live bait on steel stranded leader.

i like the ss single myself but my friends like to use seven strand coffee color wire. i heard plenety say what every works for you is the best. no one is better than the other. its what you beleive is better will work best for you. fish on!

Red Fly

Fortrolling or fishing with wire I prefer the red 7-strand. It disappears in the deep water, and in theory it appears as a blood trail when it is visible.
