Yeah, I see what you're saying. Although, the operative word is "MOST". My logic, although probably naive on my part, is that the angler would actually stop fishing for said species when they reached their limit and move on to another species.




exactly what most sportsmen would do, bag thier limit and move on

the closed seasons in federal and state waters, doesn't save the resource

it takes it from the fishermen as bycatchand feeds it to flipper



I'll coin the new phrase

"recreational red snapper bycatch"
