Default What rod is good?

I'm looking for a rod that will be used off of a boat and probably 8'. It'll be for kings, cobia, tarpon, and other such things. But I'm not quite sure what rod to get. Anybody got advice?

Thanks, I might look into what Ernie can do.

It'll probably be between $100-150

Gators are a good blank for the money. There are others out there that compare in price as well. Forecast and CUI are some others. I know the Rod N Reel Depot has them in stock. You may want to give them a call 458-0428. I believe Ernie uses these blanks as well. I wrap a lot of gator blanks but I personally like a finished rod without all the ridges. Just do your homework on what type of rod you are looking for and go with what you can afford. Just my opinion!!!!

I don't know if it makes that much difference, but it'll be used mostly off of a boat.
