what line do you use?
what do you use inland say for red? 20 or 12 flounder 12 or 8 trout 12 or 8 maybe 6? bottom in state waters? 20? you blue water guys i dont have a clue. 100? seems if i was stand up fishing it would not be any more than 50, anything else seems suicidal. mono or braid? what brand? always get good info on here about leaders have not heard that much on line. :bowdown:letsdrink |

For inshore fishing in general, I use 10# braid. I Use it for reds and trout on the flats. Sometimes for schooling fish (like ladyfish, spanish, bonita, etc) I use 8#mono for more fun. Offshore I use 50# braid on my big spinning reel for jigging. I use 30# mono on my 30s for trolling andbottom fishing. I'm currently trying to expand on my trolling reels, and want to get some 50s. For my king rod, I have 20# mono with braided backing just in case.
For braid, I use powerpro; For mono, I use suffix. |

20 lb Stren mono on some of my bottom inshore rods, and 12 lb Stren mono on the others. Pepsi-challenge those different types of lines. Stren works!

I use that or just the ultracast on pretty much all of my inshore reels. No wind knots at all. I still use a floro leader. I don't really put that much into the color of the actual braid, b/c I'm going to use a leader regardless. |
