See if this answers part of your question. If not, pm Chris.

From the old forum:

To answer your question, yes, It's time to move to new technology with more features. This forum has been online for over 3 years now on the same script. A script that was really at it's end of life at that time I hate to say. Since I am a die hard ASP programmer, it kills me to move to a <U>.net application</U> but it is both time for this forum and for myself to move onto the latest and greatest when it comes to what technology offers. <U>This new forum combines AJAX, ASP.NET and lots of other new technologies that I, as a network admin, DBA, Webmaster and IT Manager need to get involved in.</U> I consider this forum my testing ground for these technologies and I use the knowledge I gain on the two servers I use to run this forum in my real job. In a sense, you guys are all guinea pigs in a way because I use a lot of the knowledge I gain while managing the IT part of this forum for work. This forum runs on MSSQL and was my first experience with it. I have really learned MSSQL due to this forum and it has helped me vastly in my roles at work. The same is true with every other aspect of this forum.

So, to get back on your question, yes, this forum is migrating to a new format. I am doing a ton of research to see what I can pipe over and what I can not, hense the delay in going live with the new format. I would love to be able to move over members, posts, PM's ETC and this is what is causing the delay at this time.

I am not sure the nature of your question but I can assure you that I will do my best to move over everything I can and that this move to a new platform will be the smoothest one you have ever seen since you have been involved in online forums. I have done a ton of research and believe I have found the best solution for our family. The developers of the new forum script are excited to have us onboard with their software and have really went out of their way to provide me with tools and access that they do not usually do because of the size of the PFF and the traffic it receives.
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
