Want to buy a PLB. Which one?

Anybody have any experience with these? Which one should I buy??

The fastfind EPIRB seems to be the most economical. I am planning to buy one myself this year, and have looked at a bunch of them.

You should buy the floating case to put it in, I think. Sure would be bad to see it go overboard and just keep on going!

They seem to run around 300 dollars. Cheapest place I found it at was:

and I think it was 289 dollars or so, but I think it came with the case and lanyard strap. The case is 20 dollars or so by itself.

Hope this helps. Be sure and get the model with GPS location. Supposed to help speed up your recovery times...

Go up to the Search function and type in EPIRB. There has been some very good threads on this topic. :letsdrink
