Default VA Help

I'm looking for some help with resolving an issue with the VA disability. Can explain better if anyone has any experience or can point me in the right direction. Thanks

If you're a member (maybe even not?) of American Legion, VFW and such, a service officer will help you. Good luck.

The VA centers will be your best bet and then getting American Legion to be your mentor (I think that's what it's call) listed on your request. I just went through this a couple of weeks ago. Once you paperwork is submitted don't expect anything for a few months. One of the guys I work with put in a claim in Feb. and still has not heard anything back yet.

Went to my local VA Hospital and applied through the DAV rep there. He handled all the paperwork and resubmitted the paperwork after they turned me down. Received my disablity after the second review. In answer to the not hearing anything since Feb., their backlogged with all the claims coming in from Afghan and Iraq.
